Welcome To Oaks Medical Centre

REPEAT PRESCRIPTION CHANGES

As from 1.4.2020 all patients (or patients nominated on behalf of a patient) will have to order prescriptions direct from the GP practice.  Patients will no longer be able to order from their pharmacy, an on-line pharmacy or any on-line pharmacy apart from a dispensing contractor.  If you order directly from The Oaks Medical Centre you will continue to do so as the changes will not affect you.  Some pharmacies have already stopped ordering for patients

What is not changing?

If you collect your medicine from the chemist, or have delivered to your doorstep you can continue to do so.

If you order directly from The Oaks Medical Centre either by post, coming to surgery or 0n-line you will not be affected and do not need to do anything

What do you need to do?

You will need to make a request directly to your GP for a repeat prescription.  You can do this by:-

In person at the surgery, tick the medicines required on the tear off section on the prescription and drop it into the GP practice.
