About The Oaks Medical Centre
A long-established practice which was originally located on Askew Avenue, Hull, we moved
to our purpose-built premises at The Oaks Medical Centre, Hull on 2nd January
The practice currently has three partners plus three salaried doctors.
A large modern building, The Oaks offers a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere
with easy access for the disabled. The waiting room is a good size, with comfortable seating and a range of health information leaflets and magazines to hand. We also have an area for small children to play in plus amenities for baby changing and breast-feeding.

Please be aware the practice will be closed for staff training from 12.30pm on the following dates in 2014:-

Thursday 16th October
Tuesday 18th November
Re-opening the following day at 8.00am
If you need urgent medical advice during the time we are closed please telephone 111.
ALTERNATIVES TO A&E
Please be aware that A&E is for life threatening conditions and emergencies only.
There are other local NHS services that may be more suitable for you to use
Minor Ailments Scheme - available at most pharmacies in Hull
GP Practice - we aim to offer same-day appointments for when you feel you need urgent medical attention, please telephone 01482 35425, or book via our website.
NHS 111 Service - available by dialling 111 for confidential health advice & information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Do you have difficulty obtaining an appointment?
EVERY month we have, on average,95 patients failIing to attend or cancel their appointment with the nurse or doctor.
Thus many valuable appointments were unable to be offered to anyone else.
The Practice has a robust DNA policy & we will continue to enforce this policy (it can be viewed under the "Appointments" section on our website).
